EDUCATION IS THE FOUNDATION UPON WHICH WE BUILD OUR FUTURE
The young people that we are working with today, are a generation of extremely evolved, creative and critical thinkers, who need to be challenged constantly, every minute , every where. The innovations and inventions that have taken place in the past decade, spearheaded mostly by the twenties- something people, bear testimony to this. The educators and the education system today, is stuck in a time-warp and needs to be upgraded to provide the stimulation needed to whet the kind of talent available in every classroom.
At Holy Public Girls School, this is the endeavour. For, a new world is in our hands
The objectives of Our Academic programs are:
– To provide the highest level of education in students.
– To promote a spirit of free and objective enquiry in different fields of knowledge.
– To make a significant contribution towards the development of skilled education.
We expect strict discipline and regular attendance from the students in the classes. The attendance in classes is monitored on regular basis and the guardians are duly informed.
The School is always ready to offer its support for all the students who have any kind of problems regarding academics or any other section.
Student Counseling sessions are also organized to get a proper feedback and all possible steps are taken to address the genuine problems being faced by student(s). The students or their guardians can approach me anytime during the school hours, as the need be.
Holy Public Girls School principles are the core of our school curriculum. The principles guide students to achieve academic and social success through:
• Experiencing success and striving for personal growth
• A curriculum that provides engaging, logical and relevant knowledge
• A curriculum that challenges and creates active and confident learners and which develops innovative thinkers.
• A community that engages and supports development in a local, national and global sense.
At HPGS,” Excellence is a culture”. Our vision underpins our teaching and learning. Through the promotion of positive learning attitudes, we strive to develop ambition, confidence, care, respect and tolerance in our pupils in order to prepare and enable them to become lifelong learners and take an active role in their communities, shaping the future and becoming fully rounded citizens.
Our aim is to create a happy, caring atmosphere in which pupils and adults show consideration and respect for each other at all times. We aim to provide the highest standards of education within an inclusive environment. We have therefore developed a broad and balanced theme-based curriculum, which includes assessment and meets all statutory requirements, ensuring it challenges and meets the needs and interests of all our children. We endeavor to ensure that all of our pupils fulfill their potential, experience success both academically and socially, whilst enjoying their time in our care. We also have a variety of extra-curricular activities designed to enrich each child’s experience. We also actively welcome parents into the school life of their child.
The curriculum is full of all the learning opportunities that are provided for your child during their time at school. At HPGS, we believe that the curriculum should be broad and balanced whilst providing for all the needs of the children. We aim to develop all our children intellectually, physically, morally and spiritually through experiences in and out of school. Wherever possible, we teach subjects through exciting activities which allow us to be creative, equipping children to become lifelong learners, who are able to ask questions, engage in deep thinking and reflect on their learning. We use the National Curriculum to form the basis for the subjects we teach. The Holy Public Girls School curriculum develops responsible, lifelong learners (students and teachers) through:
• motivation and engagement
• skill development
• confidence building
• recognition of the need for lifelong learning
• reflection
